Waupaca Foundry is proud to support the next generation of forward thinkers and innovators by providing scholarships to our local communities in which we are located. This year, we awarded the most we ever have — $39,500 — to 26 exceptional high school seniors.

All recipients will attend a two- or four-year college or university, and many of the graduates are dependents of Waupaca Foundry employees.

Recipients of our 2019 scholarships include:

Waupaca, Wisconsin - Headquarters, two gray iron foundries, and machining plant

Anthony Krebsbach, an Amherst High School graduate. Anthony received $2,000. He is the son of Todd Krebsbach, an electrical maintenance foreman at Plant 2/3. He will study communications at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in the fall.

Rachel Ostrowski, an Amherst High School graduate. Rachel was awarded $2,000. She is the daughter of Todd Ostrowski, who works in maintenance at Plant 2/3. Rachel will attend the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in the fall to study elementary education.

Rebecca Ostrowski, an Amherst High School graduate. Rebecca received $2,000. She is the daughter of Todd Ostrowski, who works in maintenance at Plant 2/3. Rebecca will study elementary education at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point.

Brooke Voelz, a Hortonville High School graduate. Brooke was awarded $2,000. She is the daughter of Steven Voelz, a tooling engineer at Plant 1. Brooke will study psychology at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse in the fall.

Taylor Keen, a Neenah High School graduate. Taylor received $2,000. She is the daughter of Jay Keen, an electrical engineer at Plant 0. Taylor will study social work at Marian University in the fall.

Gabi Wennesberg, a Waupaca High School graduate. Gabi was awarded $2,000. She is the daughter of Heather Wennesberg, a quality assurance foreman at Plant 1. Gabi will attend Bellin College to study nursing.

Marinette, Wisconsin- Ductile iron foundry

Elyssa Wellner, a Menominee High School graduate. Elyssa was awarded $2,000. She is the daughter of Mike Wellner, a 29-year millroom employee. Elyssa will attend Grand Valley State to study nursing. She is also working in the quality department at Waupaca Foundry this summer.

Annie Bauer, a Menominee High School graduate. Annie was awarded $2,000. She is the daughter of Kirt Bauer, a 27-year employee in the shakeout department. Annie will study culinary arts and hospitality at Northern Michigan University this fall.

Dylan Woodworth, a Marinette High School graduate. Dylan received $1,000. He will attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to study welding.

Euan Gillespie, a Peshtigo High School graduate. Euan received $1,000. He will attend Northeast Technical College to study welding.

Tell City, Indiana - Gray and ductile iron foundry

Carly Sabelhaus, a Heritage Hills High School graduate. Carly was awarded $1,500. She is the daughter of Brian Sabelhaus, a 19-year melt employee. Carly will attend Western Kentucky University, and she will study elementary education

Kaleigh Wilkerson, a Heritage Hills High School graduate. Kaleigh received a $1,500. She is the daughter of Jeremy Wilkerson, a 21-year VMM employee. In the fall, Kaleigh will attend the University of Southern Indiana to study nursing.

Ty Cronin, a Perry Central High School graduate. Ty received $1,500. He is the son of Glenn Cronin, a 23-year maintenance foreman. Ty was a high school intern at Waupaca Foundry. He will attend Purdue Polytechnic Institute to study mechanical engineer technology in the fall.

Madeline Labhart, a Perry Central High School graduate. Madeline was awarded $1,500. She will attend Indiana University to study biology.

Kyle Hagedorn, a Tell City High School graduate. Kyle was awarded $1,500. Kyle worked as a high school intern at the Tell City Plant and will continue working as student help this summer. He is the son of Brett Hagedorn, a 22-year sand lab employee. Kyle will attend Vincennes University to study electrical sciences.

Maryann Miller, a Tell City High School graduate. Maryann received $1,500. She will attend the University of Louisville to study civil engineering.

Kacie Scales, a Tell City High School graduate. Kacie received $1,500. She will attend Indiana University and study English and secondary education.

Etowah, Tennessee - Ductile iron foundry

Cayla Miller, a McMinn Central High School graduate. Cayla was awarded $1,500. She is the daughter of Jimmy Miller, a pattern shop employee. She will attend Cleveland State Community College to study Agricultural Business in the fall.

Addison "Melia" Baker, a McMinn Central High School graduate. Addison was awarded $1,500. She will attend the University of Tennessee- Knoxville to study biomedical engineering.

Channa Chrisman, a McMinn Central High School graduate. Channa received $1,500. She will attend Tennessee Wesleyan University to study business management.

Anna Brown, a McMinn County High School graduate. Anna was awarded $1,500. She will attend the Douglas J Aveda School of Cosmetology to study cosmetology.

Collin Robinson, a McMinn County High School graduate. Collin was awarded $1,500. He will attend Yale University to study biology for pre-med.

Dustin Knox, a McMinn County High School graduate. Dustin was awarded $1,500. He will study radiology at Cleveland State Community College in the fall.

Effingham, Illinois — Machining center

Levi Jones, an Effingham High School graduate. Levi received $500. He will attend Lake Land College.

Elijah Wilson, an Effingham High School graduate. Elijah was awarded $1,000. He will study engineering at Virginia Tech.

Cole Stanfield, an Effingham High School graduate. Cole received $500. He will attend the University of Illinois this fall.
