Nearly a decade before the federal government mandated, industry-specific air pollution (MACT) requirements for iron and steel industries, Waupaca Foundry installed state-of-the-art air pollution control equipment. Its history of environmental stewardship is marked by being in front of regulatory compliance, and in many cases implementing the best pollution control in the industry. Waupaca facilities use filter-leak detection instrumentation as an elective technology to achieve superior air pollution control results. Waupaca participates as an industry leader to create benchmarks for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as it establishes new standards.
